Pikatikki: Korvapipot - Ear hats

Oli kylmä ja myrskyinen mökkipäivä... No okei, ei ollut synkkää eikä myrskyä, mutta hieman viileä ja tytöt eivät pärjänneet enää kesälippiksillä ulkosalla. Tulivat sisään kysymään, että olisiko mulla pipoja heille. No ei ollut, mutta kangaskassin pohjalta löytyi pari vuotta sitten Ikeasta ostettu fleece-viltti...



Ohje:
Mittaa lapsen päänympärys. Jaa päänympärys kahdella. Tämä on kappaleen leveys. Mittaa lapsen pään koko otsalta niskaan. Kerro mitta kahdella ja lisää 20 cm. Tämä on kappaleen korkeus. Leikkaa yksi kappale fleecestä. Ompele sivusaumat. Käännä 3 cm käänne pipon reunaan, ompele joustavalla ompeleella (kaksoisneula). Leikkaa fleecestä vielä kaksi solmimisnauhaa 1 x 20 cm. Pue pipo lapsen päähän ja muotoile kulmista korvat, jotka sidot solmimisnauhoilla rusetille. Valmis!

It was a dark and stormy day at our summer cabin... Well, actually it was not either dark nor stormy but it was quite chilly. The girls ran inside and asked me if I had warmer hats for them than the summer caps. No I didn't, but I had an Ikea's fleece blanket in my fabric stash...



Instructions:
Measure child's head circumstance. Divide it by two. This is the width of the hat piece. Measure the head from forehead to neck. Multiply it by two and add 20 cm. This is the height of the hat piece. Cut one piece from fleece. Sew the side seams with height of the presser foot (about 8 mm). Turn inside 3 cm edge and sew it with a stretch stitch (twin needle). Cut two 1 x 20 cm ribbons. Wear the hat to the child and tie ears in place with the ribbons. Done!
